Aiken County Board Approves Overhaul Plan and Bonds
The Aiken County Board of Education voted to approve a major construction and maintenance program costing over 20 million dollars with 11 million in bonds for the first phase. After discussions and an amendment to exclude Aiken Elementary, officials agreed all involved schools must be replaced, despite calls for renovation from parents and supporters.
