Dialysis Machine Brings Local Kidney Care to ACH
Aiken Community Hospital adds a hemodialysis unit after receiving approval for two machines. The first unit, costing 6650, began operations on January 19 with 25 to 30 treatments monthly, each lasting 3 to 4 hours. Nephrologist Dr. Francis DiBona now staff the unit to maintain it.
