Bare Boating Dream for Kierspe Family on Bahamas Sail
The Kierspe family led by 27 year old George sailed a 38 foot Morgan from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas on a bare boating voyage. Nancy, dad, mom, and brother David formed a four person crew with George as captain and the parents handling other duties. They snorkeled around deserted islands, caught lobsters, king mackerel, and dolphinfish, and planned meals around fresh seafood. They valued careful preparation and coast guard training before setting sail and hoped to return next year with more family members aboard.
