Love stamp honors emotions with student art finalists

National Card and Letter Writing Week celebrated with a Love stamp design to be issued in October 1984. Birmingham events showcased two student finalists Danny LaBoccetta and Molly LaRue whose cheerful art symbolizes family and communication.

Love Stamp winners announced for 1984 issue

Molly LaRue an 18 year old student from Shaker Heights Ohio is named a winner in a design contest that drew about half a million student entries. Her Love Stamp will be issued in October 1984 along with a Santa Claus stamp by Danny LeBoccetta of Jamaica New York.

Needlepoint Guild Meeting in Aiken at Public Library

The Aiken Chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild meets on Thursday December 8 at 9 30 a m at the Aiken County Public Library. Members will display a mini stitch show with various fibers and a washable needlepoint pocket lesson by Kay Hearle. All needle pointers welcome.
