Ford Touring Collision Near Racoon Bridge Saturday Night

A Ford touring car collided with the iron banister at Racoon Bridge south of Advance. Harold Me Laughlin was involved. the left front wheel, fender, running board, and axle were damaged. Repair costs about $30. The car, insured by Security Auto Insurance Association through Pickett & Sanford of Lebanon. Speedoline ads promote gas mileage and engine cleaning. Mrs. Perry Pointer Dies in South Bend Typhoid Fight

Word reached here of the death Tuesday of Mrs. Perry Pointer formerly of near Shannondale at South Bend. The body arrived in Lebanon Tuesday night and was taken to the Shav er home for the funeral held Wednesday at 2 PM. She is survived by her husband and two children. Typhoid fever caused her death after months in a South Bend hospital. Pointer, a former Advance school teacher, was superintendent of a South Bend high school.

Charlie Coshow Called By Death in Indiana

Charlie Coshow died at his Speedway City home aged 80 last Saturday. Funeral held at Old Union with Rev. C. L. Airhart officiating. Interment followed in Old Union cemetery. He formerly lived in Jamestown and Poplar Grove area, leaving a wife, sister, six children, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs Nancy Victoria Frazier widow of Samuel V Frazier died at J S Frazier home near Advance Sunday morning at 630 o clock from cancer of the liver after a two year illness She was born May 19 1856 in Putnam county West Virginia daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Proffitt Married March 10 1874 to Samuel V Frazier who died last February They lived in West Virginia Boone county and near Advance for many years Surviving are son J S Frazier two grandsons Kenneth and Merrill Frazier a great granddaughter Betty Lee Frazier seven brothers and one sister Funeral services were held at J S Frazier home Tuesday at 2 pm conducted by Rev George Wyatt and Rev Geeding Burial in New Ross Odd Fellows cemetery Oak Thorntown cemetery

Mary Bean Dies at 66 Near Advance

Mrs Mary Jemima Bean aged 66 died at her home near Advance after a six month illness from organic heart disease. Funeral services were at Advance Methodist Church with Rev Grant Howard, burial at Old Union. Born Putnam County Dec 29 1857, she moved to Boone County as a child and lived near Advance. Survived by husband James W Bean, son Charles, five sisters and one brother. Two siblings preceded her in death.

Pioneer Citizen Dies in Hospital in Indiana

Allen Mills of Thorntown aged 81, a Boone county pioneer and Civil War veteran, died Monday at 1 a.m. at Williams hospital Lebanon after a two month illness from injuries suffered July 24 when struck by a bicycle rider. He fractured his hip near the Mills memorial fountain on Main Street and had been confined to the hospital since. Born near Thorntown, he lived there all his life and was well known in the community.
