A Ford touring car collided with the iron banister at Racoon Bridge south of Advance. Harold Me Laughlin was involved. the left front wheel, fender, running board, and axle were damaged. Mrs. Perry Pointer Dies in South Bend Typhoid Fight
Word reached here of the death Tuesday of Mrs. Perry Pointer formerly of near Shannondale at South Bend. The body arrived in Lebanon Tuesday night and was taken to the Shav er home for the funeral held Wednesday at 2 PM. She is survived by her husband and two children. Typhoid fever caused her death after months in a South Bend hospital. Pointer, a former Advance school teacher, was superintendent of a South Bend high school.

Mrs Mary Jemima Bean aged 66 died at her home near Advance after a six month illness from organic heart disease. Funeral services were at Advance Methodist Church with Rev Grant Howard, burial at Old Union. Born Putnam County Dec 29 1857, she moved to Boone County as a child and lived near Advance. Survived by husband James W Bean, son Charles, five sisters and one brother. Two siblings preceded her in death.

Pioneer Citizen Dies in Hospital in Indiana
Allen Mills of Thorntown aged 81, a Boone county pioneer and Civil War veteran, died Monday at 1 a.m. at Williams hospital Lebanon after a two month illness from injuries suffered July 24 when struck by a bicycle rider. He fractured his hip near the Mills memorial fountain on Main Street and had been confined to the hospital since. Born near Thorntown, he lived there all his life and was well known in the community.
