Revival at North Christian Church starts well led by Mrs Minnie Davis. A delegation from Thorntown with Rev OHaver attended Tuesday night. More delegations expected as plans proceed for a big Bible School Sunday. attendees urged to arrive early.
Morning and night services led by Rev. A G Abott at Advance M E Church next Sunday at 11 00 A M. New pastor Abbott will preach after which regular services will be held on the first and third Sundays of each month.
The Indiana state board of tax commissioners with Governor Branch and Auditor Robert Bracken fixed a 28 cent state tax levy for 1925, two cents below 1924’s 39 cent rate. The panel split on the general fund, with Bracken and Zoercher voicing concerns that the levy will create a deficit next year.
State geologist W N Logan reports Indiana produced 1,043,000 barrels of oil last year with 793,000 barrels from southwestern pools. The report on southwestern Indiana oil fields, prepared for the conservation department, covers Pike Gibson Martin and Knox counties with detailed logs and maps.

Willis Fulwider and family from Cambridge City visited. Wayne McClaine family of Covington spent time here. Sylvan Yager and several others in Lebanon. Mrs. Joseph Sandlin improving slowly. Dinner guests at William Ross included Kenneth Grant of Chicago and Andrew Harris of Burlington. Harshbarger brothers Vera and John visited with Vera Harshbarger. William Ross hosted Carmen Ross, Wilbur Moore, Lester Ryan and son. George Ray and Charles Canada families visited the Bowman home. Gerald McDaniel and Alice Blue of Indianapolis were in Advance. Charles Rohn and Dortha returned to Tell City. Arlie Hancock visited near Brunswick. Advance notes: Masons held annual supper. 160 attended at the Advance Community Building. Wayne Walker and wife welcomed a son Wayne Darnell at Witham Hospital. Funeral of Mrs. Margaret Emmett at Mount Zion. speakers included Archibald Hall and others. Clara McDaniel entertained at dinner with Ora McDaniel family and Arlie Hancock.
Rev W G Abbott formerly at Lizton has been reassigned to the Advance M E Church in connection with Lizton work and will reside there. The Advance church has cooperated with New Ross. New Ross and Mace are joined. Lizton and Pittsboro were united. the church offices underwent decorating and are in good condition. Rev De Bruler has not yet accepted work.
Wayne Walker received a Tuesday letter from Frank Ross dated the 19th. Frank Ross reported waking to a morning of snow and saw hills blanketed in snow while in Pocatello Idaho.
A miscellaneous shower was held at the McPhetridge home near Beckville on Thursday night for Mr and Mrs Herman Broshar celebrating their marriage with guests, gifts, and playful games.

While Prof. C. G. Lawler and family transacted business in Indianapolis their Ford touring car was stolen from Senate Avenue at 12 80 Saturday afternoon. They reported it to police and later learned the vehicle was found Sunday morning at 16 W Maryland Street with a damaged tire cracked windshield broken ammeter and broken curtains. The car was insured.
