Great Western Evangelist Draws Anderson Crowds
Last night a vast Anderson audience packed the central christian church for an evangelistic service led by Dr Scoville. 79 were added to the church and 111 were baptized bringing total converts to 1130. Speakers praised Elder Grafton and his wife and thanked local newspapers for influence. Dr Scoville announced plans and departed for Connersville then New York and California as crowds lingered after 11. Hamilton county temperance leaders plan a $10000 fund to fight saloons with additional staff and attorneys.
