The north half of Jackson Township reports strong participation in the third Liberty Loan, totals reaching 900 dollars in Section 1 and 700 in Section 3 with local solicitors Addie Coons Adah Frazier Mag McClain Lulu Higgins Effie Burrin and others coordinating lists of subscribers including Adah Frazier Martha Ashwell Victoria Frazier Mary Owens and Mary Demaree. The effort includes multiple subcommittees and a long roster of local women contributing amounts from 40 cents to 1000 dollars.
In a letter from Base Hospital No. 82 in France Mangus describes a pretty town, large hotels, four hospital buildings, good food and rooms, a YMCA, and English lessons with locals. He serves in the quartermaster department, notes French learning, war optimism, and local work scenes while six Boone county boys serve nearby. The Ladies Aid Society of North Christian church votes to buy a liberty bond. members are asked to remit dues.
The Disciples of Christ push a Men and Millions drive to raise a quarter of a million dollars in Indiana to avert a regional disaster. Rush county gave 11,000 though only 10,000 was asked. Putnam and Russellville exceeded targets. Hamilton and Marion counties show strong support with pledges and expected overages.

Baccalaureate at North church features Rev Henry, Rev Rector leads devotional, and class flags honor Sylvan Yager. Commencement tonight amid sickness and a hopeful finish. Orville River buys a new buggy and several local updates follow. A large fundraising drive for Boone County churches aims to raise five thousand dollars with pledges from all congregations. A banquet at Central Christian church April 26 invites church boards and others interested in the Men and Millions movement.
The text urges faith in divine guidance and in the church to carry out commands to the farthest reaches, claiming churches answered the need before the war and are infinitely more needed now, and questions what action others will take in this hour of greatest necessity.
