Horse Thief Caught After Chase Near Ada
Lee Hughes stole a horse from Mr. Askew six miles southwest of Ada. He was overtaken and arrested at Purcell by Ed Lancaster and another neighbor. Hughes’ horse, saddle, and bridle were seized. He was brought before Judge Talbott and committed to jail awaiting grand jury action.
