Porter Dies Tuesday Afternoon at 81 in Stratford
Martin Turner Porter 81, retired Santa Fe bridge foreman, died Tuesday afternoon at his daughter’s home in Stratford from a heart condition. Born 1869 in Arkansas, he moved to Stratford in 1910 and belonged to the Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his widow, daughter, granddaughter in Oklahoma City, grandson in Stratford, plus a brother and sister. Funeral Thursday at 2:30 from Stratford Church of Christ, burial in Memorial Park, Ada.
