At Camp Polk Louisiana Company C 180th Infantry hosted finals in a regimental softball meet and an open house in the day room equipped with games and comforts. A special retreat program and preparations for a visit by Gen Mark Clark filled the day with entertainment cookies cake hot chocolate and coffee for almost 100 men. Riflemen honored in a battalion retreat parade were noted for outstanding range marks. Gen Clark planned to arrive Thursday morning to inspect the Company C area as an example unit. Capt Craig McBroom led overtime prep for activities while gripes over food persisted.
