Pair Returns From National A H Conference
Two 4-H students from Poritator County returned from a four day trip to Kansas City with the Oklahoma delegation. Cheryl Mellen a East Central State College arushman and Dewey a Stonewall High student attended with peers from five states. They toured the Kansas City Zoo the American Royal Livestock Show and other city sights while participating in meetings and recreational events.

Pontotoc Countys growing wild turkey population received three boons this week with about 30 Eastern turkeys released at two county sites. A third release is planned. Virgil Williams, county game rager, oversaw the efforts with observers present at the K P Shaeffer ranch near Rolf. Birds were penned briefly then released in stages to allow them to settle.

Ada hosts the East Central Quarterhorse Association fifth annual sale at the Ada Pony Sale and Quarterhorse barn on SH 13 Northwest. About 75 horses will go under the hammer with all cash: highest bidder wins. Auctioneer Bi Tackett of Conway Arkansas will settle disputes. the one day sale runs from 12 pm to about 11 pm.

Mobile Station Keeps Us Power In Roff Step Up
Overhauling a transformer can cause varied problems says Oklahoma Gas and Electric the biggest is loss of power when another voltage station doesn't take over. The JG&E mobile sub station arrived this week at Roff employees stepped up kilowatt load on transformers there. It was called from Oklahoma City to assume the electricity load for Roff. The station is one of five in the area.
