Moodlums in Allen show a perverted inclination to throw rocks at glass. Last week storefront windows light bulbs on main street and telephone booths suffered damage. The rock throwing bandits remain at large, and no one has halted the destruction. The telephone company grows impatient with smashed glass fronts of outdoor phone booths.
Ada Oklahoma Civil Defense units met at the REA building to review emergency procedures for atomic attack and address citizen questions about bomb shelters. Hayden Haynes, CD director, noted a sharp rise in inquiries and urged calm, signaling the group’s coordination with highway police medical ambulance and other agencies. He advised residents to boost food supplies and stay vigilant without panic.
Allen displays a new city park funded by 540 dollars diverted from a dissolved Chamber of Commerce pool project. Volunteers completed a 118 by 43 foot tennis court and will add croquet, shuffleboard, horseshoes, and playground equipment if weather permits. Residents anticipate a spring completion and a convenient park run by volunteers.

Attendees include members of the master planning group and community leaders.
