Francis School Prepares Long Building Remodel
Francis School, with about 100 students, is undergoing a two year remodeling program financed by a building fund. Superintendent Ezell Landreth says they have spent roughly 10 to 12 thousand dollars recently and expect to owe about 2.5 thousand more in six months to a year. A 1954 12 thousand bond issue funded part of the work and even yielded a new school bus. recent expenditures included a further 5 thousand from the building fund. The project features a major window replacement with aluminum large pane windows around the classrooms.

Man wins surprise prize in contest choice
Frisco resident Glenn Hendrys discovered he was a top prize winner in a fun contest. He chose $100 on a sewing machine over a vacuum sweeper and plans to give the machine to his two sisters studying homemaking at Stonewall High School. Quarter horse judging is set for Sept 19 and 20.
