Trophy At County Pecan Show Highlight Ada Event

The county pecan show on Dec 1 will award a special trophy by the Oklahoma Pecan Growers Association. Native pecans dominate the local market and the county could yield up to a million dollars annually from improved groves. Ada hosts two state pecan shows historically.

Lions Charter Night scheduled for Stonewall Club

Stonewall will charter its new Lions Club Thursday at Stonewall High School gymnasium. About 40 southeastern Oklahoma Lions clubs are expected for the Charter Night dinner and program starting at 7:30. Dr. Robert D. McCullough of Tulsa will speak, and Sidney Sachs will present the charter to Dwight Roberts.
