Tince Crisp Dies Thursday After Extended Illness
Tince Crisp, a Pon totoc County farmer rancher and later a peace officer, died at a local hospital Thursday morning after an 18 month illness. Services are set for Saturday at 2 p m at Criswell Funeral Chapel. He served as a deputy under Sheriff Ray Goodwin before his illness in 1954. Crisp, 60, was born in Texas and lived in Coal and Pontotoc counties. He left a home at the Rucker place in Laxton for many years. Pallbearers include Ray Goodwin, Hubert Griffith, George Sparkman, Oren Phillips, Horace Kirkes and Chester Shelby. Survivors: wife Florence, daughters Mary Edna Crisp and Juanita Greer, brother J M Crisp, and two grandchildren.
