Hughey Rogers night policeman of Ada and Dick Weems proprietor of the Stockton hotel died in a pistol duel at the hotel late Thursday afternoon. Rogers and another officer went to arrest Weems on drunkenness. he opened fire as Rogers entered. Rogers was shot three times. Later Pat Patterson, former employee of Honest Bills circus, was shot and probably fatally wounded. Dick Campbell was arrested.
