Roff Youth Wins 1st in WeWoka 4-H Meet
Harald Swink of Roff topped the area 4-H personality improvement competition at Wewoka and received an 850 U.S. Savings Bond from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. He, one of eight county entrants, will enter state competition later this month along with fellow participants Panny Teel James Lucas Carol Howell and Joyce Childs.

Five families east of Roff band together to bypass Ada long distance charges using salvaged hand crank telephones linked by a barbed wire fence. Experts Predict Strong Duck Season In Oklahoma
