Damage Mounts Over $300000 As County Sees Rain Clouds
A soggy week in Pantotoc County brought showers that swelled streams and damaged bridges and roads. Bridges were knocked out, roads closed, and field erosion caused about 300000 dollars in agricultural losses. Losses stem from sheet erosion, gullies, scouring, and sedimentation, with topsoil loss deemed permanent.

Stonewall Day Returns To Lake Grounds
Sunday marks the second annual Stonewall Day as residents and former residents gather at noon for a basket lunch on the lakeside grounds north of town. Organizer Mrs. Anna Young says many will attend and the Frisco Home Demonstration Club will provide drinks. If weather prevents the lake event, the gathering moves to the Baptist church basement.
