Tribal Tax Trouble Drives Out Six Herds in Territory
In Chickasha Oklahoma Territory on May 18 J P els District Internal Revenue Director reported orders from the Interior department to Duncan and All owners have received ten days notice under the law. The cattle must go as peremptory orders and cannot pay the tax. A recent decision holds cattle in Federal Government hands for unpaid tax are not subject to the ordinary process of the department of justice.
