River crossing tragedy and buried treasure tale retold
A swollen river crossing results in a man missing after being swept away by the current while two horses in harness are recovered. a $500 reward is offered for the body by Chas A Linck of Carmi Illinois. A Guthrie dispatch reports a $2,000,000 Salt Fork treasure buried by soldiers after a ferrying tale, with $200,000 paid to a mysterious stranger and the rest disappeared.

In Chickasha I T yesterday qualified voters endorsed a proposition to issue 135000 in thirty year bonds at five percent for waterworks seventy five thousand sewerage twenty five thousand debt payoff twenty five thousand and street improvement ten thousand. The measure carried nearly unanimously.

Northwestern survey to Avard via Harvey Street plan approved
At a conference a northwest survey for the Choctaw tracks line from Coalgate toward Avard was approved. The route aims to minimize distance, with grades not exceeding six tenths of one percent and curvature under four percent.
