Vanoss Pre-School Visit Hosts Forty Children Friday
Vanoss school will host about 40 pre school children Friday for their annual visitation and orientation day. Principal M R Tucker says it may be the last such event as Vanoss plans a kindergarten program next fall. The ten students advancing to first grade will move with no extra orientation. A full day for prospective first graders will proceed Friday.

Allen Couple's Son Helps Nab Bank Robber
Leon Sanders of South Gate California aided police in catching a bank robber after the man demanded cash in a paper sack. Sanders trailed in a radio equipped pickup while his wife directed from a second vehicle, leading to the arrest in a cafe where the loot, $3042, was found.
