Wheat Pasture Worth $37 Per Acre Says Tests
Professor Robert Noble reports at the 32nd annual Oklahoma State Livestock Feeders Day that lush wheat pasture can return 25 or more dollars per acre for 90 days grazing by western feeder lambs. Over three years at Fort Reno, wheat pasture yielded 37 per acre for 88 days in 1937 58 tests, with lambs gaining 0.35 to 0.4 pounds daily and about two thirds grading choice or good.
