Youth admits thefts as judge hears case in county court
A 15 year old boy told Judge Hoyt Driskill he skipped school for a semester while his parents were unaware. Paralysis May Be Cured By New Drug
A local physician credits sulfapyridine with an apparent cure in an infantile paralysis case in Ponca City. Mary Elizabeth Maddox, age unknown, was treated after arrival at the hospital with regulated doses of the drug. Within 24 hours the fever fell from 104 to normal, rose briefly, then settled again. After 48 hours there was no further rise and the child was sent home with facial paralysis partly in a cast. No advance occurred after treatment.
