All five have been recaptured.
The University of Oklahoma board of regents reportedly suggested to the war department a possible transfer of Louisiana State football coach Biff Jones to Oklahoma. Letters were sent to Secretary Dern and General Douglas MacArthur, but no official action has started. Jones would replace Lewie Hardage at Oklahoma.

In Nashville officials of the United Confederate Veterans accepted Amarillo Texas as this year’s reunion site after talks with New Orleans and Jackson Mississippi collapsed. Chief of Staff Harry Rene Lee called the Amarillo bid a sure thing and said a reunion would be held this year.
