Jesse King family reunion and Pleasant Hill tales
The Jesse area recalls 1884 settlement by J E King and wife in Texas transplants who built a school and community life at Jesse. A recent Wintersmitt reunion near Ada drew descendants including King, Hough, Batchelor, and Wilson families. Local notes cover health talks, a near car accident, army farewells, Crockett and Pleasant Hill visits, and a Los Angeles injury to Othell Humphers.
