Crushed by Falling Rock in Mine Near South McAlester
W E Hailey, a coal operator, was badly hurt and a miner unnamed suffered a fatal back injury when a large rock fell from the roof as they inspected a mine Saturday in South McAlester Oklahoma Territory. Hailey received head lacerations and broken ribs. The miner died of his injuries.
