Biffle Ranch Harvests Big Yellow Hop Clover Seed
Ned Biffle's pasture at the Biffle ranch yields large yellow hop clover seed and fescue with a projected 20 000 pounds of clean seed plus 6 000 to 7 000 bales of hay yearly. The stand shows vigorous growth aided by ladine clover, mixed grass species, and brush mowing to boost establishment. Cattle graze deep fescue while no hay feeding or grain occurs, and the ranch operates a vineyard and blackberry patch with a grape variety mix and 30 quarts of berries daily harvests last year.
