Fights, killings mark village clash near Ankara and border troubles
A village near Ankara saw the deaths of four people, two pairs of brothers, after a dog fight escalated into a deadly dispute over judging. Pistols were fired by participants and by bystanders amid the chaos. West German border police helped a tourist confrontation at the Czechoslovakia frontier, where a Dutch student failed to match passport photo. An eccentric note details Bil Bailey in England brewing wine beneath a World War I helmet. A cryptic puzzle follows with clues and a revival-era ceramic vessel called Pilgrim's Flask.
