Kerr Machine Co unveils a new Universal Cattle and Timber Spray unit with a 250 gallon tank powered by a Kerr designed pump. It agitates liquid for chemical sprays to control weeds and woody growth and can also be used in fighting grass fires.
Secretary of Agriculture Orville Freeman said the Johnson administration may have overpromised the income stabilization effects of new farm programs. At a meeting of over 200 AS A committeemen he urged continued support, noting criticism by demagogues and politics but insisting efforts should continue to curb surpluses despite unmet price goals.

The Star Building Company will erect a 180 by 240 foot livestock pavilion east of the grandstand and a 20 by 80 foot crop exhibit hall north of the grandstand. Agricultural center funds of 220 000 were approved last November by county residents.
