The Howell Quarter Horse Ranch in Seagoville Texas led the fourth annual East Central Quarter Horse Association show winning the traveling trophy for the second year running. Lone Star horses dominated halter and performance classes including grand champion Is Is Rock and reserve Range Boss. Entrants numbered 150 to 190 with competitors from Oklahoma Louisiana Kansas and Texas. Judge Don Wilkins oversaw halter and performance events held at Ada fairgrounds under warm but dusty conditions.
