Enid May 31—Vernon Goltry, leading Oklahoma grain dealer, says the northwest wheat belt across seven counties and parts of five others has the best crop prospects in years. Binders are in early fields, with combines expected by June 10 after a week of binder work. The area includes Garfield, Grant, Kay, Alfalfa, Major, Woods and parts of Woodward, Harper, Rogers, and Kingfisher counties, totaling about 2,100,000 acres. Goltry estimates up to 40,000,000 bushels possible, noting good moisture, strong straw, and recent helpful showers. panhandle areas show some spots of poorer stand.
