Driver Held As Accident Victim Dies
George Nichols of Johnston County, 42, charged with murder after a two car crash Tuesday night left 56-year-old Ada area resident George Gorham dead by Wednesday morning. Gorham had been treated for internal injuries at an Ada hospital after riding with the Factors of Wewoka and others when Nichols’ car allegedly forced another vehicle off the highway before the collision six miles south of Ada on Highway 12. Nichols remains hospitalized with a crushed jaw and chest injuries. The accident marked Pontotoc County’s first traffic fatality in over four months.
