Caldwell Case Costs $400 In Witness Fees

Ace Mexican Flier Killed In Potomac River Crash
Francisco Sarabia, famed Mexican aviator and recent Mexico City to New York record setter, died when his biplane crashed into the Potomac River after takeoff from Bolling Field during a visit to his mother. His wife and 10-year-old son watched as the craft dived into the water four minutes after lifting from the ground. An army doctor suspected a broken neck, and officials said the plane carried a heavy gasoline load. Sarabia had arrived from New York a day earlier and had little fuel left. He had just met Roosevelt, carried a goodwill message from President Cardenas, and attended a reception at the Mexican Embassy.

Fearful smuggler lured relatives in deadly trap at home

Oklahoma City June 7 Tax officials were surprised by Illinois finding that 12 000 cases of liquor were sold in March for shipment to dry Oklahoma. J D Carmichael, tax commissioner, said the matter would be presented to Governor Phillips after his return from Washington. M C Connors said the Illinois report was unexpected and sought state verification of liquor sold here and tax paid.

C E Trump 66 of Blackwell was killed and three others injured in a head on collision north of Kingfisher when his car struck a truck driven by George Wagner 19 of Argonia Kan. Trump died in a Kingfisher hospital about two hours after the 7 40 am crash. Mrs Porter 44 Louise 16 and Mary Jane 12 also of Blackwell were in the car. Wagner was pulling a combine and traveling slowly. one other occupant Warner was uninjured. The investigation cited a jog in the highway as a factor.
