Jesse Farmer Builds Efficient Boggy Bottom Irrigation
A Oklahoma couple, Dave and Dwight Roberts, convert 400 acres along the Clear Boggy into an integrated irrigation system. They drain floods via ditches and levees, then reuse water with overhead sprinklers and movable pipe. The setup centers on a 600 ft galvanized lift line and pumps powered by 100 hp Ford and 85 hp Chrysler motors, delivering up to 2000 gallons per minute to fields.

Mrs. McKillip Dies Known in County
Mrs. McKillip, longtime Ada area resident with ties to Crane and Pontotoc, died after living in Crane four years. A 1935 Ada High School and 1939 East Central State College graduate, she taught in Seminole County and worked for Boeing during WWII. Services were at First Methodist Church Ada with burial in Purcell.
