Tulsa based Knapp Outdoor Advertising Corp adds 500 dollars to a nationwide effort offering over 1000 dollars for information leading to arrests and convictions in elk poaching. Third Annual Livestock Show Proves Big Success
The third annual Junior Livestock Show and Sale closed Monday night at the agricultural center on North Broadway. Top 40 steers and six hogs sold, grossing about 29,500 in base bids and premiums. Danny Stone’s steer earned 878.25, the highest money total, while Lynda Golden earned the premium high of 650 for her reserve champion steer. Awards will be handed March 8 at a banquet after carcass evaluations finalize placings. heavy winners include Herefords and Angus in various classes.

Christmas Comes In February For County Soldier
Charles E. Berryman a 21 year old medic in the Army was home from Viet Nam for a belated Christmas celebrated at his aunt and uncle Elmer and Zora Lee Lee's Ada Oklahoma home. He earned the Army Commendation Medal for aiding children hurt when a bus hit a mine near Lai Kai South Vietnam. His family and relatives attended the birthday gathering before he reports March 16 to Fort Hood Texas. He is a 1967 graduate of Vamoss High School.
