Newspaper Men to Meet in Sulphur May 1920

Indian Territory Press Association executive committee set the Sulphur gathering for May 19 and 20 with a full program of addresses and discussions on libel law advertising and press progress. Frank M. Dunham elected secretary. meeting aims to engage Oklahoma editors and link with the National Editorial Association in Guthrie on June 23.

Wynnewood Wins Summer Normal Site After Cash Bids

A Chickasaw Teachers Association committee chose Wynnewood as the location for the forthcoming summer normal, after reviewing proposals from Ardmore Ada and Davis. Ardmore and Ada offered cash, free use of buildings, and amenities, but Wynnewood prevailed following committee deliberations amid local political maneuvering.

Ardmore I T Feb 11 The normal committee met at Davis to select a site for the Chickasaw summer normal. Wynnewood was chosen after considering several Chickasaw Nation towns as contestants.

Postoffice Robbed at Coleman I T

Postoffice at Coleman I T eighteen miles from South McAlester was entered Friday night. The safe was blown and about $200 in money and stamps taken. The post office was in a general store and $500 in cash belonging to the firm was also taken.
