A. Floyd, 82, a pioneer teacher stock-breeder public official church leader and hatchery operator, died suddenly Sunday. Born May 7 1872 in Corinth Arkansas he taught in multiple communities before moving to Ada in 1909 to lead Irving school. He later served four terms as county superintendent beginning in 1916.

Ada Banker John C. Norris Dies in Highway Crash
John C. Norris, 41, Ada banker and prominent local figure, was killed Sunday afternoon in a highway accident 1015 miles south of Durant. He is noted as the fourth Norris family member to die violently in separate incidents, with two brothers Harvey Ashton Norris and Thomas R. Norris and Frank C. Norris having died in a train-car and aircraft crashes respectively.
