Gas Explosion Fatal to Former Stonewall Man
Earl Reed aged 26 died Friday afternoon from a gasoline explosion at Pure Oil plant in Seminole. The blast occurred about 4:30 Friday morning, likely sparked by a passing automobile. His body will be interred in Rosedale cemetery after funeral services at Criswell funeral home in Ada. Reed was son of Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Reed, formerly of Stonewall, later of Seminole. he was unmarried.

Grocer Robbery Shows Amateur Lapses In Memphis
The Waples Platter Grocery suffered a larger heist than previous break-ins, with the safe blown and about 30 dollars seized. Between 50 and 75 cartons of cigarettes were also taken from the warehouse on West Main Street. Police note the thieves appear inexperienced, using dynamite and a ladder ascent to reach the warehouse window. Several hundred cartons of cigarettes have been stolen over six months. A muffled explosion was heard near midnight as robbers left the scene.

Grant Farley 48 a Liberty market operator on West Main street died at Ada hospital from a gunshot wound he described as accidental. He claimed the wound occurred at his business. his wife arrived at the hospital as he held to the accidental cause. Farley left a powder burn on his left hand and was well known in the community, survived by his wife.
