Twice In A Day Is Too Much In Roff Oklahoma
Hale, a tractor owner, had two separate near incidents on SH 12 by Park Avenue and near Sulphur, causing minor collisions with Mrs Davis and a pickup driven by Gilbert Jenkins. A law enforcement warning followed for an improper left turn. Hale then faced a second incident hours later as he tried another left onto the highway, nearly causing a rear-end crash with Jenkins at 75 mph. He commented that if more trouble came, he would stay off SH 12 for good.

Pontotoc County 4-H Boys Win District Pasture Contest First
The Pontotoc County 4-H land pasture and range judging team placed first in Central District pasture and range judging and second in land judging at Guthrie. Members James Lucas Ross Dewayne Coffey Latta Harold Swink Rolf Don Yeargan competed with Liga Hale Reff and Jimmy Ford Latta. Lucas was second in pasture judging Coffey fourth Swink tenth. Harold Swink also placed in land judging. The group plans to enter the International Range and Pasture Judging contest in Oklahoma City in May with broader participation from 4-H PRA teams collegiates and international students.
