The Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored the second political forum on Sept 25 at Schuler's Pub and Restaurant, featuring Calhoun County, state and U S House candidates. County Board absorbs Road Commission by 6-1 vote

The Calhoun County Board of Commissioners voted 6-1 to dissolve the Calhoun County Road Commission on September 20. District 5 Commissioner Julie Camp Seifke cast the lone vote against dissolving the agency citing uncertainty about how service changes will unfold and transparency for residents.
