Museums Convert Post Office and Depot to Magic Heritage Hubs
The former post office on 107 E Michigan Ave becomes a museum with a vast antique collection led by Postmaster Schragg featuring a 1931 Model A half ton mail truck. The American Museum of Magic in a downtown Italianate building, opened 1978 after renovations by Robert and Elaine Lund, houses Houdini and other famed artifacts amid historic displays.
