Marshall Historic Home Tour and Local Attractions
The 54th annual Marshall Historic Home Tour on September 9 and 10 features six private homes representing distinct architectural styles plus Zion Lutheran Church, the J. H. Cronin Store, and Great Escape Stage Co. The weekend offers Arts events at the museum, Fly-In and Drive-In at Brooks Field, Civil War Ball, and access to several local museums. Also highlighted are the 7th Annual Driving for a Cure tractor drive on September 16 with registration at 8 a.m. at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds. Tractors start at 10 a.m. at the drive’s route through Marshall. The Bogar Theatre is noted as Marshall’s oldest main street building, dating back to 1838, historically known as the Palmer Block. Grandparents Day features Vicky Coats, celebrated for her support of Ryan Lautzenheiser’s eight children following his wife’s death.
