Three MHS students honored by National Merit Program
Marshall High School congratulates Mark Lang Jack Merucci and Nadine Connamacher for being named Commended Students in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. About 34,000 Commended Students nationwide are recognized for academic promise, placing among the top 50,000 of over 1.6 million entrants. Marshall HS had 92 participants last year, outperforming the state average by 73 points and the national average by 51 points.

The Albion Health Care Alliance AHCA and Neighborhood Health Visitors plan a Community Health Fair on Saturday November 4 from 10 00 am to 1 00 pm at the Ludington Center 101 N Superior St in Albion. The event is free for residents 18 and older with about 20 25 vendors offering free blood pressure checks vaccines CPR demos and enrollment help for Medicare Medicaid and ACA exchanges. Lyon Lake Crop Walk Raises 2712 Dollars
Lyon Lake United Methodist Church held its 29th annual Crop Walk on Sept 17 raising 2712 dollars with 14 walkers and three rocking chairs participants. Twenty five percent stays in Marshall area with 15 percent to Marshall Area Community Services 10 percent to Mobile Meals and the remainder to Church World Service to combat world hunger.
