The Marshall Area Garden Club will hold its November meeting at the United Methodist Church on Old U.S. 27. Social time starts at 6 30 p m with the program at 7 p m. the public is invited to attend and participate in choosing a category and presenting a Holidays at Home themed display.
Local author T. R. Shears, author of a new collection of stories, will be honored with a premiere party at East End Studio and Gallery Saturday Nov. 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. He credits a friend's urging for submitting the manuscript to 2Moon Press, which published the book. He is already at work on a sequel titled Cal hounie Summer.
Thanksgiving dinner hosted by Fredonia Community Grange No. 1713 and Athol Hazen Jr invites all neighbors to a 6 p.m. supper on Saturday November 20 at the B Building. Potluck menu expected with homemade bread pies and cranberries. Attendees may stay for the meeting after cleanup as Grange promotes community service and wholesome family activities.
