Marshall receives A debt rating upgrade by S and P rating
The City of Marshall earned an A debt rating from Standard & Poors Rating Services with a stable outlook. Officials credit healthy fund balance and very strong reserves for the upgrade, noting ongoing fiscal health. Memorial Day events on Monday brought sunny weather as residents honored fallen service members and watched the Michigan Avenue parade, with accompanying photos on page 31.

WMU official Rhodes earns Tony Griffin Golden Word Award
