Second Convis mural ready for hang in township hall
The Battle Creek Society of Artists nearing completion of the second of three murals in Convis Township Hall. The 1860 to 1920 scene features Civil War veterans returning home, local sheep farming, train arrivals, and rural mail delivery. Artists led by Stan Snyder created the panels over three months, with Edith Smith coordinating. The group plans a third mural starting September, potentially adding a fourth mural in 2014 if funded.
