Approximately twelve map turtles and two large snapping turtles were released into the Kalamazoo River in Marshall after months of rehabilitation following last summer’s Enbridge oil spill. In total about 2,400 turtles have been returned to their natural habitat since last fall.
Fourteen year old Brooks Bultemeier visits Maplewood of Marshall every Monday at 3 30 p m to help residents with putting using a rolled up green and supplies. He aids but mostly lets residents try their own strokes and offers tips occasionally during winter and spring outreach.
Marshall House Apartments will become a smoke free facility with six months notice given to tenants.
