Hospital and Neighborhood Committee weighs parking options
At a May 10 meeting the Hospital and Neighborhood Committee heard a parking study by Walker Parking Consultants Kalamazoo outlining options for extra parking spaces, a lot or a garage. Chair Ken Jendryka stressed no concrete plans exist and warned against interpreting the study as a plan to convert downtown. The report projects hospital parking needs rising from 93 currently to 532 over 20 years.

Fountain goes live for Marshall Michigan Week
Marshall public works staff prepared the Brooks Memorial Fountain to go live for Michigan Week May 19 through 25. Director Carl Fedders noted the event attracts out of town guests and highlighted the fountain as a top priority. Crews logged over 25 hours cleaning and testing the fountain’s mechanics.
