Albion boards vote to close Albion high school
Albion Board of Education approves restructuring to a K 8 model and invites Marshall Public Schools to operate Albion high school through a cooperative agreement. The plan aims to cut deficits, boost enrollment, and provide geographic access to a Michigan Merit Core education across two districts. A Marshall board decision and community forums follow, with funding and diversity programs planned to support the transition and teacher development.
